Walking in the rain - Watercolor

An almost monochromatic watercolor of a couple walking in the rain under their umbrella.

I used blue and violet tones and different techniques for each area. The figures under the umbrella were painted with a brush. The rain was done stamping the canvas with a sponge dipped in blue watercolor paint..
The reflection with a very wet big brush and allowing the watercolor wash to dry in the middle and tilting the canvas as it was drying to make hard edges of different values. The umbrella was painted with a brush in a few strokes and then spraying with water and then brushing the diluted color down to simulate the rain falling off the edge of the umbrella.
I did this one on a Fredrix watercolor canvas. I found it very easy to paint on.
