"From the journal of notable phycologist Prof. Irene Thurman. 'We were lucky to photograph these algae at the mouth of the Taidi river during their reproductive season which lasts only a few hours every year. This picture shows the aureus sanguina spores being swept away by the current."

The algae is one more painting using phthalo blue and green which I find a perfect match. The background has a bit of cobalt teal. The spores are done with gold acrylic paint and some red to make them more interesting.
