Particle Accelerator

After seeing the movie Particle Fever which talks about the Large Hadron Collider and the search for the Higgs Boson particle (aka the God Particle), I was inspired to create this work of art. 

This is a mixed media painting. I used computer boards and drives on a wood panel that I painted bright glossy white as the background, and then painted the particle trajectories using fluid acrylic paint.

As with my other computer pieces, this one took a long time to finish. There's a lot of work involved in the preparation, painting and assembly of the computer parts, and then all the layering of the fluid acrylic paints.
