Blue and magenta nebula (sketch)

I have been experimenting with water and acrylics again. This is the first sketch of a nebula in blue and magenta. After letting the water and acrylics blend and flow, I softened the edges of some of the shapes with a sponge.

The final painting will have the same colors but more controlled paint application. Because this one has too much paint on the middle which makes it really difficult to blend a second layer in. I think I will need the ability to do two or three layers on the final painting so I can get the shapes I want and enhance the contrast if needed.
