I am using smaller canvases so I can quickly play with colors and easily redo them if I don't like the combinations. This one that started with a liquid blue background showing the drops of paint on it. I wanted to experiment again with orange and blue, and so I used a sponge to put a variety of cadmium oranges and yellows and then painted a horse using Jacquard Lumiere metallic blues. At the very end I added squirts of metallic blues and phthalos and highlighted the horse shape using white from a bottle with a thin needle.
