First golf course sketch

Here's a sketch of a golf course hole seen from the red tee with a lake in the back, some trees on the right, and bunkers on the sides. This is not from a photograph, it's from my imagination. Unfortunately I was not able to find good pictures of golf courses from an eye level perspective. So I am going to go take my own pictures of golf courses in the area.

Golf course sketch - Acrylic on canvas

I was asked to do a colorful abstract golf painting, which means I will be exagerating the colors. But right now my approach is to do a few sketches with classic colors first before I start experimenting. On this one I used teal with cerulean for the sky. I used phthalo green YS and hooker's green for the foliage, with titanium buff.to lighten it, and mars black and burnt umber to darken them. I added some burnt sienna to the mound with the pine tree on the right, but it did not look right. The bunkers are done in titanium buff and I don't remember what I used for the shadowed parts.
