Wheat ready for harvest

Wheat under the sun, ready for harvest. I wanted to use the combination of phthalo blue and burnt sienna that I used for the Rebirth collage a few months ago.

In this painting I used Golden Fluid Acrylics in a watercolor technique, then applied additional acrylic using a small squirt bottle. These Golden Fluid acrylics are extremely saturated, which means literally ten drops of Phthalo Blue covered the entire blue sky of this 24x24in painting. For the wheat I used Golden Fluid Transparent Red Oxyde acrylic.
