White Tulips (Digital Art)

When one observes white tulips, it's obvious that the petals are not white. I love the subtle tint of color that appears on the shadows of the flower petals: faint greens, yellows, and warm greys. These colors might come from the reflection of the light on the green leaves and stem, and from the yellow stamens. I have not mastered painting them yet. But I took a lot of photographs of these beautiful white tulips and digitally manipulated them to bring out the subtle colors in the white. Hopefully this exercise allows me to paint them better in the future.
