Eye of Horus - Abstract Acrylic Painting

This is an abstract acrylic of the egyptian eye of Horus. I used the traditional blue and green colors representing "regeneration" for the ancient egyptians. This symbol was used in amulets for protection and appears almost everywhere in egypt artifacts, temple walls, and tombs.
I used only phthalo blue, phthalo green, and titanium white over an underpainting done with a can of Montana acid green spray. I wanted to keep the colors very vibrant, almost neon-like. It turned out a bit creepy too, right?

  1. I've always loved how artistic the eye of horus is. I think you did an excellent job depicting it in your artwork.
